This wedding was truly touching and special. Not just because of the couple themselves but because of all the people that played a part in making this wedding so very special for both Hazel and David. The beautiful weather shined on this beautiful couple.
After the ceremony, the maid of honor and best man hosted a reception for the couple at their home. The couple wanted the intimate touches of friends and family celebrating their special day and they were not disappointed.

Welcome to the chic decor of ice sculptures. If you are looking for a chic way to keep the beverages cool or the decor looking "fab", check out Ice Designs Inc. of Houston. I got to meet these folks at the bridal extravaganza in Houston and I was blown away by the designs created just for this event. Then I went online and saw more of their fantstic work. The ice was absolutely mesmorizing to look at. The photos below really don't do these works of art justice.

Those are flowers inside the block of ice, which made up the ice bar. Nice way to add some color.
As an event coordinator in Houston, we are always looking for new trends, and new decor options. Well, I think I've found a nice option right here in Houston. Received this in my mailbox today!! When I opened it, I was once again amazed!! My customer's gown is so beautiful!! Good taste of her to use black lace and black ribbons! A simple gown now transforms into something that is extremely astounding!! I hope she will love it as much as I do!!

Another Relationship Standing the Test of Time!
Wanted to say congratulations to my parents as they celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary, this past week. Five years ago, we coordinated a traditional ceremony for them, where they renewed their vows and celebrated with family and friends. I am just so happy that they were blessed to be able to celebrate another five years with each other.
My parents are truly my inspiration. They have such patience with each other and they truly have fun with each other. My father kisses my mother good night, every night and he kisses her when he leaves or when he comes home. It seems trivial at first until you realize the stability and love that comes with that kiss. I enjoy watching my parents together, especially how they dote on each other without trying to show it. After 55 years it just comes naturally to them and I thank God for that. It is something I look forward to with my husband. Thanks Mom and Dad for showing me what a real relationship looks like.

It's such a fabulous & extremely satisfying feeling when my team & I receive our client's wedding photos... often it's months after they have come for their final fitting, and we have said our "goodbyes" to the gown & the beautiful bride we created it for. Then we receive a CD or a set of prints in the post and....WOW!
It's just so thrilling to see everything come together - our gown, the bride with her groom (whom most of the time we have never met!) her accessories, lovely hair and make-up & stunning flowers, and all the fine details & specific elements of the whole day pieced together as one, like a magnificent jigsaw puzzle finally being completed!
So I'd like to share these photos with you, from our recent bride Tamaiya. She married Dan in the breathtaking "Hunter Valley Gardens", a few hours from Sydney in wine country - and was blessed with the most perfectly sunny day! The Japanese pagoda where their cere
mony took place, surrounded by the wonderful Autumn flowers and foliage, not only suited her Oriental-inspired theme, but also provided shade for all the guests and bridal party.
Tamaiya's 4-piece Culture Shock Couture gown was custom-made for her with a STUNNING cherry-red vintage kimono, featuring white blossoms, black dip-dyed edges and delicate hand-painted detailing. The custom-made white silk faille gown underneath was our base, layered on top with a detachable fitted waistband, and a separate bustle/train, and a jacket to finish it off - these 3 pieces all made from that very same kimono. We accessorised her 2 bridesmaids with matching narrow sashes at the waist, also from Tamaiya's kimono.

reat pride in the design, workmanship, quality and originality of everything that Culture Shock stands for... it's always a team effort and as long as we have brides who are daring enough to try something a little different, we will always be here & ready to create gorgeous & unique bridal gowns!
