The beach is probably one of the most gorgeous outdoor locations for a wedding, especially if you swap your vows just before the sun sets. But a particularly windy venue like this one calls for beach wedding dresses in lightweight fabric rather than a full ballgown skirt. After all, you don’t want to spend the entire ceremony holding down layers of tulle with your hands, do you? Check out the best beach wedding dresses from the spring/summer 2011 runways.
In terms of length, ankle-length wedding dresses are perfect. A floor-length skirt will require that you wear heels underneath, which will only sink in the sand. Both gorgeous dresses are from Kelima K’s spring 2011 collection.
Alternately, you could also wear a short wedding dress. This lacy number from Alfred Angelo is among my favorites.
These empire dresses from Thread Wedding are stunning in their simplicity. Accessorize with ethnic-inspired jewelry or a wreath of tropical flowers on your hair.
